A new wave phoenix – IDLE HANDS sign with Eisenwald and air first video

Debut EP from Portland goth rockers to see re-release later this year

Eisenwald is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Portland heavy metal upstarts IDLE HANDS, and will re-release their debut EP, Don’t Waste Your Time, on CD later this year.

Rising out of Spellcaster’s ashes like a new wave phoenix, IDLE HANDS is bound to catch the attention of anyone who loves the new wave of traditional heavy metal, gothic rock or the sleaze of the 80s. Featuring five dark, moody and ballad-esque tracks, Don’t Waste Your Time was recorded by Gabe Johnston (Spellcaster) and mastered by the illustrious Brad Boatright (Corrosion of Conformity, Yob).

Formed in the heart of the Pacific Northwest in the fall of 2017, IDLE HANDS initially began solely as a creative outlet for former Spellcaster bassist Gabriel Franco, who now handles vocals and rhythm guitar in addition to being the band’s sole songwriter. With the first EP under their belt, the band plans to release a full-length and tour heavily in 2019.

“The band is stoked to start working with Eisenwald. We had interest from multiple labels, some being quite large, but in the end, and after very careful consideration, there was no other choice. We’re looking forward to a prosperous relationship with Nico and the Eisenwald team,” says vocalist/guitarist Gabriel Franco. “As for the video, we almost got struck by lightning filming, hope everyone enjoys it.”

Don’t Waste Your Time is streaming here and available on LP/CD via Lone Fir Records. An additional CD pressing for Europe and beyond will be released Nov.16 via Eisenwald with other formats following later.
